Congratulations! You have completed the PMP certification class! What are the next steps?
If the class of cert was two days, three days or a week, the real work starts now. To pass the PMP exam, you must have a plan. An important benefit of taking the class is that it highlighted the areas where most needed to concentrate. Which of the nine knowledge areas gave the majority of problems? For many students, the quality management and procurement management are a little difficult. However, with practice, it will do well.
Set the date
Nothing happens until you have a clear idea when they sit for the examination. The first step is to register at the site of Project Management Institute (PMI.org). Start completing the implementation of PMP, which requires documenting her experience of project management. Remember that you must realize 4,500 hours of direct and manage projects over the last eight (8) years, if you have a 4-year training. Requirement of hours increased to 7,500 if you lack the degree.
Once PMI approves your request, you have one year to conduct the review. The test centre is Prometric (Prometric.com). You can find a location near you test, and manages the online registration process. Be sure to review the requirements for the amendment or cancellation of the date of the test
Develop a Plan
Recommended for the majority of students, 80 to 120 hours of study. If you attended a 40-hour boot camp, you must plan to commit another 40 to 80 hours of preparation. I recommend the use of no more than three sources for study, and one should include a test bank. The practice of most, the most comfortable is the real test. Note the review PMP is based on team and acclimating yourself to such an environment will improve their chances of doing well.
Create a study group
I recommend that my students create a study group to concentrate on two areas of consideration: management (EVM) earned value and network of diagram creation. These two sections require a little more practice, and you can save many hours of study time by sharing knowledge with other registrars of proof. Some of my students reported that members of the team are sometimes assigned to the areas of individual knowledge and content should be presented. When you take the time to teach a subject for others, the scope of their material skyrockets.

Studying for the PMP exam, I experienced some doubts and anxiety. However, when the date was set, I knew that there was no turning back.
